In regards to a thread on Collector's Edition of Tales of Xillia how a guy refuses to pay for "unnecessarily expensive collector video game":
When you give up the unnecessary expenses normally associated with the outside world, like dates, drinks, and dinners, it becomes a small price to pay for the true experience of fictional heroism and simulated social interaction.
You go ahead and pay for that dinner with your "woman". I'll be here, being a hero.
Thought you'd appreciate that.
How was the con? Haven't been to one in awhile... makes me sad.
A long, long time ago I went to IKKiCON in Austin, TX and Oni-Con in Houston. Was pretty impressed with the decent nerd-base we had in those areas. Austin was obviously much larger and more diverse but it comes with the weirdness of the city. Good times.
